I ship products, not prototypes.
I am Mohamed Reda Bellassery, a full-stack developer based in Macerata, Italy, and the founder of Barmjli, a registered web and mobile agency. I have spent five years building production software on my own: specs, database, backend, interface, store release and the support that comes afterwards.
Most of my work sits where money and access control meet. A trading app with paying subscribers. A cash-control platform for a four-branch retail group. A marketplace where teachers get paid a commission. A learning app that unlocks levels after a payment webhook clears. In every one of those, the interesting problem was not the screen — it was making sure the server, not the phone, decided who was allowed to have what.
I work in React, React Native and Supabase/PostgreSQL, and I lean on the database hard: row-level security as the authorization boundary, SECURITY DEFINER functions for anything that moves money, idempotency keys so a retried request cannot double-charge. I also build the unglamorous parts — the Python parser that turned 71 inconsistent Word documents into type-checked lesson data, the audit logs, the admin permissions.
I live in Macerata, Italy, where I am taking an MSc in Finance & Markets taught in English. Alongside it I am available part-time and remotely to companies across Europe — up to 20 hours a week, in EU time zones — for engineering work in fintech and payments.
